Agreed - Anderson was so good, but clearly his mentality/character are the issue. Lanzini needs serious work to get back to near where he was 2 to 3 years ago, I’m Not sure it’s going to happen

The montage also reminded me of how good we were prior to the three big injuries - fabianski, Antonio and yarmolenko. Yarmolenko was doing really well for us - scoring, creating and looking dangerous. Such a shame he got struck down again

The other thing I noticed was how many times we scored but fornals was in a great position in space in the box if needed. Him and soucek naturally support the attack and make great runs in a way we haven’t seen for a long long time

Interesting watch, that. Cheers, Tex.

It occurred to me when watching that Anderson declined at the same rate as Pellegrini's results did. And then when he left, he gave up.

There's definitely a player in Haller. Play him and Antonio and get good service in. I'd keep him till Christmas, at least.

Fornals, who is a bit Marmite on here, gets lots of assists but also quite a few assists of assists. I'd definitely keep.

It surprised me how many Yarmo chipped in, and that left foot is lethal. Worth another year.

Anderson is a conundrum that I don't think we'll solve. To me, he looks unhappy, depressed even. Cut our losses and sell him to a team that's near a beach.

Lanzini. I adored the little gem for his first few years but that injury he got whilst away with the Argies ruined the player he was. Shame, like Ashton he could have been up there with the best. The boat's sailed though.

Snodders. Deserves another year if fit.

Cresswell started the season on fire. Did Pellers give him more freedom and that worked?

Just late-night musings.

Anderson is extremely annoying.

There's no doubt that when he's good, he's very very good.

Which somehow makes it worse that most of the time he's absolutely fucking useless.

Few very good goals that may have been forgotten as havent seen them mentioned anywhere for a goal of the season contender

Snodgrass volley vs newcastle
Haller scissor kick vs bournemouth
Anderson goal vs bournemouth

Also last note, love seeing fornals' reaction to every goal we score, seems genuinely delighted

Nick

The board are trying to pretend it didn’t happen so they don’t have to pay him his £250k
